I design ideas to change lives.

As a kid I was constantly dreaming up plots and attempting to illustrate imaginary stories, and when I got my first video camera (back in the days of MiniDV) I was off to the races. I started documenting everything and set out to make my own movies, spending one summer writing, designing sets, acting, videoing, creating custom sound effects, and editing. It was wonderful! The results however may be embarrassing... so that vault should stay sealed.

As I got older, I started shooting and editing weddings, teaching myself Photoshop, and learning 3D modeling and animation, winning 2 awards for a short documentary in the process.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve done design work for a range of political, policy, brand, and non-profit clients along with work for churches, individuals, and local organizations. When I can buy into their mission, I love to wholeheartedly throw myself into the project and take part in the amazing work being done. This is why I’m sharing my portfolio with you.

In my spare time I am learning illustration and practicing drawing, learning new programs, experimenting with new styles, exploring how-to videos, and reading professional blogs and design books. When it’s all said and done, my hope is to create the kind of work that engages and moves the viewer to action.
