Welcome all!

My name is Mekenzi, affectionately called Mek or Kenzi by friends and family. I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Birmingham, AL. Growing up in a Turkish-American family where creativity was encouraged, I have always been surrounded by a variety of cultures and influences. I see my work as an opportunity to blend multiple ideas and perspectives into aesthetic pieces that inspire an intentional empathy. Outside of my personal work, I serve as the art director for belladonna magazine, a creative playground that exists to diversify fashion photography and publishing. At the end of the day, I want to use my art as a platform to communicate complex topics in an appealing and simple fashion.
