Hey there!

This is Cait, the hands and heart behind Lost Goose Studio. I'm a self-taught artist based in Richmond, VA and primarily work in gouache and watercolor. My sweet spot is in the intersection of pattern and color, plants and animals.

Though I have always loved to draw and design, I began to illustrate in earnest during a period of profound grief and transition. For most of my life I felt lost and on my own, disconnected from the dance of life. As I struggled to find my way back to myself, I started paying attention to what brought me genuine joy. Often it came back to a deep fascination and love of the natural world. Much of my work is also inspired by my travels around the globe, particularly the animals and culture of East Africa.
