Lina Valentina is a contemporary pop artist, based out of NYC and Los Angeles. She is mostly known for her popular zipper mouth paintings that she started painting in 2014. “My zipper mouths represent freedom of expression I want to encourage people to speak up and express themselves however they want to. The teeth of the zipper in my zipper mouth pieces changes direction in the middle of the mouth, therefor the zipper would never zip, which displays expressing yourself, speaking up and not giving anyone the power to tell you otherwise.” Her other big collection has been her “The Unbreakable” collection. One of her clients who became a collector of this collection is Rick Ross, who purchased a beautiful painting of Rolex. “My diamond collections represent strength and being able to go through challenges and difficult situations, but always coming out of them stronger than before. The first diamond I have painted was very challenging, which is why I chose that pattern to really push myself, which is what life is about, growing, learning, evolving”. Lina has started painting in 2012, when she was attending FIT for fashion design, which explains the “fashion/glamour” feel to her art.
