In my own search for Zen--in my usage meaning peace and contentment in my present circumstances, whatever they are--I started using ink and water color pencils to create reminders of the ideas I need to hold close. Gratitude, peace, hope, love, joy, courage--these are the ideas that inspire me. Bright colors, energetic lines, and whimsy are the hallmarks of my work. I am inspired by folk art, medieval manuscripts, zentangles, stained glass windows, and nature.

A huge motivation for me to open a storefront is to try and give back to organizations that helped my family during my daughter's battle with pediatric brain tumors. A portion of all sales will benefit all these places that are so close to my heart. The last quarter of this year and first quarter of next year will benefit Camp Sunshine in Maine, a respite for families battling catastrophic pediatric illness. www.campsunshine.org
