“Exploration and experimentation drive everything I do. I truly believe that curiosity is the best teacher.”
Artist Kacy Latham champions the idea of freedom of thought and expression, and she tries to facilitate that exploration for her viewer. Her beautiful lyrical work encaptures a person’s attention, but never forces him or her into its company. She paints with the spirit of giving freely without wanting anything in return. Her work is like spiritual energy that pulls you in and lets you make whatever you want to make of it.
Her passion for all things creative, her skill and process comes from a life lived with a multitude of ranges, from joy, to self-doubt, to fear, to deep self-reflection leading up to self-actualization.
Kacy Latham has been married to her husband Wes for 16 years and has two sons Kyson and Luke. Her work life revolves around both her immediate and extended family and her hometown community of Munday Texas.
Latham lives and works in a former country hospital that was built in 1913. Her studio is located in the upstairs kitchen area of the former doctor's apartment. The plantation style balcony outside her studio, provides a lovely panoramic backdrop.
