My name is Andrii. I am an independent visual artist from Ukraine, currently living in Chicago.

My obsession with photoshop began when I got my first personal computer with Intel Pentium III Processor in 2001. All I'm gonna say is that it was not powerful enough to run Adobe Photoshop smoothly, but it was the right tool teach me a great deal about patience and staying focused, also a little about Photoshop :D

Photoshop seamlessly combined my interest in technology and love for art. The thought of creating art digitally fascinated me, the ability to alter an existing image with my own ideas, combine multiple pieces into my own, unique, idea or create something out of nothing was empowering. Back then "digital art" wasn't a thing as big as it is now. I didn't even know what to call my creations, I definitely didn't use the term "digital art", I just called them "cool pictures". I didn't really know what I was doing. At that time my goal was just to have fun using different kinds of tools while flexing my imagination. Nothing really changed, except the fact that now more people know about my passion, and also my skills have gotten a little better, at least I hope (:

Well, I guess there is also one more thing that changed. Every time I create a new piece, I hope that it will have the potential to shift someone's paradigm, a little nudge out of the mundane, even if just for a millisecond, enough for them to get a tiny reminder about how beautiful and versatile this reality is.
